I've owned a Jeep with a Kayline top and a Scout with a Kayline top and I remember them being good, sturdy tops.

    Thanks, Focker!

This post from the same thread by Ojgrsoi that I've cut & pasted below shows that the vertical door on the Meyer top was evidently offered as an option.

Also, as Jw60 pointed out, if you look closely at the photo Twin2 posted in #210 above, you can see that this door covers the tailgate area, and that the lower portion in this case was painted out to match the body.

This post (Jeep Tops Past and Present #20) shows OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT...Vertical Rear Doors.... So it looks like to me as though this vertical rear door is from Meyer.

The full door is also in post #70 & 71 in this thread.

Also interesting to note on the top below is the smaller rear window on the left to accommodate the hinges. (Member WUZE's CJ6)

I've seen a few photos of these with the sliding side window option on a Meyer top. This one from KAISER WILLYS

and this one at my house. I am getting ready to modify mine to reduce wind drag.

Our member, user name plastikosmd, has a Meyer top with that window mod. I thought for sure someone had done that on their own, now I see these pictures. o_O
