I'd really like to see a good image of the warning sticker in front of the radiator. I have the tattered remnants of the same sticker, but I have only seen it in a couple of other photos and it is rarely mentioned.

Also, I don't think that is a factory radiator. I believe it should have a more rounded top. I actually happen to have the same radiator as the one shown, however.

Very interesting some things I see. The driver's side firewall where the heater normally attaches has heater hoses going thru it and I'm guess that is a heater on the passenger side.

Mickey, You're 100% correct about the second heater - in the video, George discusses why they believe the original owner had it installed.

Thanks, I was trying to figure out what that thing is!

Apparently the unit directly below the trouble light is a siren.

Mike, You may be able to contact the current owner of that CJ-6, the Omix-Ada Jeep Museum in Suwanee, GA, and ask them if they could supply a good photo of the sticker.

Do you know if it's an emissions / timing sticker? My '67 V6 has one of those (a repro that matches the original) mounted in front of the radiator, but it is different than the one in the F134 photo above:

The F-134's had a similar sticker to that one, though I'm not sure which year those came into use. Here's an original one from 1971, after AMC's purchase of Jeep:

That's an understatement....you (as well as Mike Starck) have a whole lot of very good photos posted in that thread! :bananatool:

Both NCRenII's and Mike's yellow Renegade IIs were manufactured in March of '71. To save some time for anyone looking for great pix of 1971 V6 engine compartments, I've tried combine their photos into a more-or-less logical overall order for viewing. I believe the first photo is Mike's, but the rest are all NCRenII's. If you download them, on the close-ups you'll see file names/titles on each .jpeg indicating what's specifically being shown:

Here's another shot of a 1965 Tux F134 engine compartment. This Jeep is reportedly a one-owner vehicle with 14,000 original miles:

That is one fine looking engine bay! If you have any larger photos, it would be great to see it in more detail.

Speaking of that, you mentioned that your coil is at the back...? Do you mean behind the air cleaner?

If so, that would mean there's a fourth OEM location in addition to those shown in this post: Factory Engine Bay Photos?

So i purchased a wiring kit from Walcks awhile ago. Very good quality and super great price.
Everything fit and was exact for lengths and placement.I'm commenting on this because of the noted different coil locations. Mine is under the oil bath on the passenger side.I believe my engine to be 100 % stock and unmolested.I'm the second owner.Jeep was bought May 66 in PA.So I'm guessing early 66 build date.I can take more pics if any one wants.
    Cheers W

The repo HEW emission sticker on the 67 cj5 above is incorrect in that federal emission standards did not begin until 1968 model yr I do not remember seeming sticker such as those until 68 thru 1971 model. Only exception was 1966 and newer vehicles originally sold in California

Actually, when I bought that Jeep from the family of the original owner, it had never been restored, and still had the remnants of the original HEW sticker on the grille mount, exactly where the reproduction sticker is now. The inclusion of this sticker in 1967 may have been related to the closed PCV system that was in production on these engines by then, I’m not sure. Incidentally, when new this Jeep was originally purchased at a dealership in Shelby, NC.

That flys in the face of anything I have seen or read about regarding vehicle emission controls . Very interesting Your vehicle does not have air injection system which would only be on California models in 1967 with manual transmissions
Thanks for the info and the nice pics
