I need new fenders for my CJ-7, the originals are rusted and split beyond repair. I’m committed to buying new fenders instead of trying to find originals in decent condition. It appears my options are Crown, Omix and a brand called Replacement sold through JC Whitney and Discount Body Parts. I’ve read the terrible reviews on Crown and Omix but nothing on the Replacement brand. Has anyone replaced their old fenders with new lately and been pleased with the quality and fit of the new ones?
I searched new fenders on the forum and received many hits but none really answered my questions about quality and fit.

They are all probably made by MD Juan.

I too believe that all the replacement front fenders are made by MDJuan, just sold and repackaged by a variety of parts suppliers.

    Thanks for the replies.
I knew that Juan made fenders but never knew their fenders were repackaged as other suppliers. The prices for replacement fenders varies from $135 from Omix, $169 from Crown, to $121 from JC Whitney. Another CJ parts supplier wants over $200 per fender.
I’m going to make some calls today and see what these suppliers have to say about their fenders.

MCE makes fenders, but they are not like the originals. More like the flatty's. I put a set on mine because I wanted more clearance. Unless you are set on a stock look. You may have to call them. They do not list CJ fenders. But they did make some a few years ago. I talked to em in Moab.

My OEM fenders on my 79 were pretty much beyond saving. I replaced both with Crown brand from Morris 4x4, was actually pretty happy with their quality and thickness. My only complaint with them was when we purchased some for my buddies 85 CJ-7. They had to be cut and trimmed to clear the shocks.

my buddy bought a set of aftermarket for his scrambler
the pinch welds at top of fenders left a lot to be desired . lot of gap between inner and outer panels
so he had to rework them . his work looked much better

I called Quadratec and asked them about the two fender brands they offer from Crown and Omix. The Crown fenders are ten dollars more per fender than the Omix. The sales guys would not confirm that both fender brands were actually manufactured by MD Juan but said it’s very possible. He was honest and said these fenders won’t arrive at my door in perfect condition but assured me I could return them if they were severely damaged or unserviceable. I ordered the Crowns’s, we’ll see how they work out.
