Manual glow plug switch (momentary) installed. All it does is complete the circuit and completely reversible. I still have to diagnose the passenger alternator. I think It’s something to do with the gen 2 dash light.

So you've got the big 6 in your 109? Pretty rare! I used to maintain one of those for a friend. I've had a couple 88's over the years, but the frames rusted away to nothing. I still have the rear box off a '69 that doubles as a trailer.

Yes, the 6 cyl with the original Weslake head, quite rare. I do want a S2 or S1 80 or 88 at some point.

Fixed the charging system on the cucv. Cut off the side steps. Looking into stuffing 37’s on it so I have some suspension homework to do.

I did the same thing to my truck. I have a mattress back there and camp right in the bed.

I’ve had a small drip coming from the oil cooler on the cucv for a few weeks now and it finally turned into a fine stream. Being the tightwad I am, I went to the parts store, bought a couple 3/8 plugs, removed the oil cooler lines/adapters, put some thread sealer on the plugs, and screwed them in. Went on a 60 something mile drive and have no leaks and the engine hasn’t locked up so it’s a win.

You manually crank the motor on the welder to start it?

Yup it has a spot for an electric starter but its just a block off plate. It took a while to get to start reliably but now it starts ok. Its still not an easy task.

I took this pile of parts and stripped then refinished it. Took the mower off and now I am all set for snow.

My voltage regulator had a meltdown which also smoked the ammeter.

I replaced the VR and ammeter but found the battery cables were somewhat suspect. Then I looked at the headlight wires and decided they needed a cleanup. (fuse bypassed and old wiring) I also replaced the mismatched headlights with LED tractor lights. Then I wanted to separate the flashing light on the rear fender and put it on it's own switch. I noticed the radiator hoses were pretty weak. New hoses received. You know while in there - the radiator is really full of mud dobbers and just stuff. Removed and flushed. The seat is crap so :blah:. Bolts for everything are rusty crusty. Off to Ace Hardware. While I got all that stuff apart maybe I should paint a few things. You talk about project creep.....

This may take a day or two.
My wife scratched her head and said, "Didn't you drive that in the garage?"

That's pretty cool. Seems like anymore a shop would cut the side off and put on a new panel. I love the craftmanship. Great job!
