    Your right, just a bit of brain-fade! I meant to say Corporate 20, X 2!
    That rear axle in the '79 is defiantly a keeper! Flanged D44 many folks would love to have under their Jeeps. Just find a D30 for the front, with matching gears, of course.

    Just out of view in your picture is the tooth count. For example, "41 11" is 41/11 = 3.7272... or 3.73. Easy verifying the tag.

    992633 too early for my book. This is a Jeep part number from late 60s, like before the turnover. Open differential, looks centered. Maybe Jeepster? Possible Jeepster spring pads might fit a late frame?

    Date on ring gear is 11-69. I agree, it seems centered. Did they have a flanged axle on the Jeepster?

    Yes, I think so ... last few years. '72-73 definitely, should be the same.

    11-69 would fall in line with the mid '70 model swap to flanged axles.

    My brother ran a built 454 in his bullnose Jeepster with the stock 3.73 flanged axle. Never had any issues, and thats with lots of trips to the local 1/8 mile strip. They're strong axles.

    Yes, the date is 11-5-69. Tooth counts are 41-11. The bearings are a little raspy, but overall the axle is in good shape. I'll pull the shafts and check their condition.

    Based on the axles and the dates on the ring gears, I'm thinking the axles came from a 1970 or 1971 Jeepster Commando. Glen and timgr already said as much. Does this sound reasonable? I need to get the brake line that runs along the rear axle and new, if possible, wheel cylinders. The cylinders are the 13/16" bore. O'Reilly doesn't carry either. I see several brake line sets for sale online for 1972 / 1973 Jeepster Commandos but not for 1970 / 1971. Is there much of a difference between those years? Do I need to buy a 3/16" brake line kit and custom assemble a rear axle brake line. The wheel cylinders I have are pretty rotted. I'll keep searching the web. If you have recommendations for parts sources for 1970 Jeep brake lines, please pass them along.
