37E43E8E-FAC5-40EE-ABD2-68CD75BF979C.jpeg So here is the story so far:
1964 CJ5 with PTO to front winch and a 3 point hitch in the rear. It has large 6 lug wheels that looks like an 8 inch wheel bolt pattern.
Can anyone tell me what these axles are and if there are brake parts available for them? Any other help would be greatly appreciated.

The shoes can be relined by a clutch or brake shop, other wear parts will probably be available from FLAPS. If there are any identifying tags or stamped in info on the axle housing, that would be a good place to start. It may be possible to find repair parts from another application that will work with little, to no modification. A shop that specializes in brake parts would be your best bet, but will probably be located in bigger cities. HTH Good luck!

BTW that winch in the picture has an electric motor, and looks an awful lot like a Belleview or early Warn 5687, I have 3 examples in the basement.

What kind of 3 point hitch is it? Looks like a stratton from your profile picture.

The Jeep-a-Trench models had I believe a narrowed Dana 70 axle, but I can't say what brakes. The front axle is likely the standard D27 with the normal 5 x 5 1/2" pattern, but has adapters to the heavy 6 lug wheels. The FC170 DRW (dual rear wheel) used the 6 lug adapters up front on a D25. I suspect your special equipment CJ5 has some of the parts (front wheel adapters) used on the FC170 DRW. I'll bet your front axle uses the regular 9" or 10" CJ5 brakes. '64 is around when Kaiser was switching to the larger 10" brakes.

Trencher or Back Hoe Jeep only. No attachment. Dana 60 rear end. The gear ratio was not the same in the front and rear differentials. The difference was made up in tire size. I think the front tires are taller. Love those Jeeps. Put a V6 in it and a more drivable gear ratio in the differentials.
