Absolutely true. And Dad and I made a ton of memories. I cherish every one of them.

Well done! Did you do it by hand? I used on of these:
I’ve heard it done by hand, a roller, foam brush, and also stickers. Also, it is my understanding from a recent documentary that the Jeeps of this era never came painted white or black from factory but rather painted at the dealership. It looks great painted (y)

I did it by hand with a foam brush I cut to 5/16” wide. I used Rustoleum gloss black enamel paint.

Tomorrow the wiring harness will be installed. Can’t wait. Ready to take it for a spin again.

I installed the passenger seat frame today in my '68.

The tricky part was the seat bracket (the part on the right) was originally missing. ITLKSEZ suggested a new one could be made out of hardware store 1/2" black gas pipe. He said he could make the bends with his pipe bender. I made the two tabs that allows the seat frame to pivot up and be removed.

I borrowed a seat bracket from another jeep so ITLKSEZ could use it has a template. He did more than make than make the bends in the pipe. He welded on the tabs and fashioned and welded on the feet. (Original, top, ITLSEZ's clone, bottom)

I drilled mounting holes in the bracket, painted, and installed it. Here's a closeup of ITLKSEZ's craftsmanship.

In all seriousness, ITLKSEZ should start making these. You can’t find ECJ5 seat brackets anywhere and no one is reproducing them. Fantastic job!

Yes, I got to see all the amazing stuff he's been building. One of the highlights was getting a ride in his plow jeep. I had no idea a jeep could go the places he took me.

Given the quality of the OEM welds for the pivot tabs on mine, you probably ended up with a better than new bracket...nicely done to both of you.

Any hoooo, This is what I did to my 1975 CJ5 today. ( Possible Quiz at the end ? )
    Before Lettering.JPG
    After Lettering.JPG
OK.. WTH Quiz : Is there a difference in the font Pre 1975 ? What is that difference :
    1) Nut'n
    2) AMC eliminated the Bar over the 'J ' & changed the font slightly for 1975
    3) I discovered that I bought my '75 with a '74 Tailgate ! ( Ask me how I Know ? )
