74 Windshield Frame, does anybody know if that front piece of sheet metal is removable ? It appears to have bolts around the circumference that serve no other purpose. If so is it a PITA if anyone's removed it. Would like to repair that corner. 00.JPG 11.JPG Thanks.

Not removable. Some of the bolts thread into bar stock part of upper hinge.

That little bowl shaped piece will come off though. Windshield wiper motor is underneath.

And while your frame isnt rust free it does look salvageable for someone with a welder and low expectations (i.e. not being graded at concourse events).

I kind of figured it wasn't, just by looking at the top and bottom. Ya never know though. Thanks.

I can tell ya all about that corner. Unbolt the hinge going into that frame.. Mine broke from a crappy weld. Take the piece out and look at it. I rewelded mine on both sides.. And once it's out you can clean all that rust up.
