I picked this 134 today, I may end up using the block and carburetor. Aside from those what else should i put on the shelf? Also, vacuum advance distributor?

Truck block if it has a vacuum dizzy, IIRC trucks didn't use the YF 938 carb because of this.

Fer realz, how much space do you have? I tend to keep too much, but pay the price in an awful garage. I envy tidy garages.

Keep everything until it runs on it's own. The foot button starter is interesting. If it has the timing window on the flywheel cover you will need that.

Which truck? Bought one from an FC years ago that didn’t have a vacuum advance.

If it has a crankshaft with bolt-on/welded counterweights, I could be interested. I've got reletives in Athens for pick up.

I have so many questions about that starter. How does it work? What exactly does the pedal do? Can you wire ignition bypass to work with a system like that? I know my M38A1 originally had a foot starter like that, would love to eventually have one again

keep that entire motor. it dont take up much space at all. really, they aren't that plentiful, so keep whatever you find if you plan on running an f-head in your current setup.
you can rebuild it while driving the jeep.
then, if your motor ever goes, you have a spare freshly rebuilt just waiting to put in. and you can rebuild your blown engine while you drive the new one. circle of life my friend. circle of life.

This is what I'm strongly considering doing with the spare F head I got out of a parts Jeep. I figure that would enable me to take my time and do a quality rebuild without time pressure

All my FC's had the vacuum advance and I believe that is all they left Toledo with. If you got a non-vacuum advance distributor from a FC, someone likely swapped it out. In theory, one would expect a little more efficiency with a vacuum advance but with abysmal efficiency to start with, it is hard decipher any advantage.

I plan on keeping the block with carb and distributor. I might hold on to the oil bath can and carb hat. Other than that, the starter and generator are 6Volt so I am selling those. Bellhousing was for a 2wd transmission, will it work for a t90?

The starter will work fine on 12 volts, keep it.
