Custom Exhaust Muffler

    The PO of my ‘71 cj5 put custom pipes on, but they are straight from the manifold out the side with no muffler. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I should start looking for possible inserts or should it be just a custom job? Or would you just replace the lot? It’s a dauntless.     Take it to a muffler shop, let him tell u your options. If u want it quiet, glasspacks, or turbo mufflers have a nice rumble while still being able to hear radio?
    I like um out the side, some prefer out back?
    U won't be happy with inserts?

    Sounds good to me. I hate to have them chopped up, but I want to get out on the road this summer. Thanks for the reply.

    It's a ways up from you, but Muffler Masters on Austin Bluffs Parkway did a nice exhaust system on my Jeep for a reasonable price.
