App: 55 cj6 stock F134, need to replace my springs.
From what I have read re-arching doesn't really last. Really don't want to lift it, but not totally oppsed to a mild lift, but dont want to destroy the ride in the process.
BDS seems to be widely recommended by several members. Your recommendations and reviews on spring replacement are much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Paul

I went with Walck's 4WD for my M38A1. They sold me a kit with springs shocks shackles and hardware. Springs are USA made by some company for them. I am very pleased with them. Very nice ride and good stock height. Far softer ride than the Superlift springs it had previously.

Kaiser-Willys had 5-leaf packs to match my rear springs when I replaced a saggy, worn out spring and it’s a perfect fit. No lift, stock height but it went in smoothly. They have other configurations as well for fronts and rears with different spring counts. [IMG]

Thats funny, destroy the ride. Most all of the aftermarket lift springs will ride better than any of the factory springs on these old jeeps. BDS or Skyjacker would be my first picks.
Rancho doesn't make springs for these old jeeps anymore and they were stiffer than most of the others. Old man Emu may still make them but they were pricey compared to the other 2.

I used YJ springs, 2in lift, but u could use stock lift.
They really improve ride, can fly through the cow tromped lanes on farm.
    Lots of flex too.
But u must change and relocate spring hangers. More work.
Rides more like an atv than a jeep.

I used the BDS 2.5 inch lift springs. They are great. Bolted right in and seem smoother than the old worn out ones. Still not smooth. Smoother.

I remember when BDS didn't go by their initials. ;)
