Self Steering While Flat Towing?

    I towed my Jeep around the block and 3 miles up to my office today. She turned perfectly to the right but not well at all to the left. Scrubbed the front tires pretty good on the hard turns.
    Anyone got a idea of the problem or a quick easy solution? I am towing her about 10 miles up to get Wire harness installed this afternoon.

    First guess is front end alignment.

    What steering box do you have?

    Usually a worn or over-adjusted (too tight) steering gear (especially if it's still a Ross box) will do that BTDT

    First thing was to check the hubs before I left. Has all new power steering. I am thinking it must just be the alignment. I just put it together so it looked kinda close. :oops:

    More than likely toe-in and castor adjustment. Should be able to get both close with tape measure and angle finder. Never had a problem towing power or manual as long as wheels are aligned with enough positive caster 5*-7* and 1/16"-3/16" toe-in .

    Well the Jeep made the trip no problem. Next stop is tire store for alignment.
