    Dennis,
I'll get pictures soon, but the above show basically what I did. Ended up using 2 pieces of flat iron with bushings sandwiched between. Through bolts to tighten everything down. From that's posted above, the only change I made was the bushings. Pictures are the body mount bushings. Spoke with Energy Suspension and they recommended part number 9.9535G (Energy Suspension Polyurethane Pads 9.9535G)

Wanted to work on wiring this weekend but we're taking a last minute trip to Fayetteville, AR.

Latest update: front lights are in; body pieces coming together slowly but surely. My liner isn't fully cured yet so I've been working gingerly. There's a few places I'll have to touch up but most are unnoticeable.

So yesterday I was working on the wiring and noticed that the driver's side hood and fender do not close together properly. It seems like the fender is too far down but the fender to body is correct height. The grill also looks like it's a bit higher on the driver's side but when I take a tape measure to it, from the ground, both sides are even. Any advice on how to align the fender/grill/hood on the driver's side would be appreciated!

I was surprised how well/straight my 53yo jeep went together. But I did have the frame trued up before I started putting anything on it. Your 64yo might be a little wonkie.

It's a new ThrottleDownKustoms frame and I made sure everything was as square as I could measure before accepting delivery of it. The body is a willys overland repro tub, fenders, etc. The frill is a later model to accommodate the radiator and electric fan due to the V8.

It all fit well before paint... I don't get it.

Are the fender mounting holes on the grill level from side to side? Are the grill mounting holes on the fenders identical between driver and passenger fenders? Quality control on the MD Juan tubs is always questionable. You may need to oval them a bit to allow driver fender to come up.

Wow! I'm sure that stuff isn't the cheap way to go!!! I'd think it should fit perfect.

It's not the cheap way to go at all... What I can't figure out is that it all fit correctly in the mockup before tearing back down to paint...

In my experience there is some adjustment needed when installing these pieces. My hood, fenders, grill were straight when removed and with no changes to the body pieces it was off in several places when reassembled. Loosen the bolts just enough to move the parts around a bit to get it all lined up.

Thanks. Did you tighten up the fenders to the body or keep those loose too?

I left the body to fender bolts alone, but I think it depends on where you see the issues. From your pics I would start by loosening the fender to grill bolts on the driver side and see if the fender will come up a bit. Could the bedliner have filled in the fender mounting holes? The factory holes are quite a bit oversized.

When I had the grill off, I had to keep both sides and the grill center bolt loose to line everything up.

Spent time adjusting tonight. The pics above in the driver's side is roughly a 1" gap. With some fenageling, I got it to just about 3/8" with the passenger side about 1/8". I'll be playing a bit more with it but if I do anything it's going to have to be widening the fender to grill holes. These pics were taken with fender to body bolts loose too. Maybe that'll pull everything tighter? I'll find out tomorrow I guess.

Is the 1/4" difference cosmetic or do I need to get it closer? I don't think the average person can tell....

The factory spec was + or- 1/2 inch. If anything make the pass side a little bigger the fenders and grille move a bit when driving the right side may rub.

Thanks all. Jeff, I can easily move the passenger fender down to create more room there. Appreciate all the help!
