Roz, It was the fan from the 225 that came with the jeep, no clue if that was the original motor especially since the block is in a slag heap somewhere now... I'm gonna run
It unless it cant keep up with boiling lava heat.

Also my wife told me yesterday that she doesn't mind me spending money on the jeep "as long as it runs SOMEDAY"...

The wayward son returns... My brother and I spend the entire weekend putting the pile of parts that I have been accumulating on to the jeep and we were rewarded with it roaring to life in all of its open manifold glory at 1153 pm ... ill post up some pics, tomorrow but we were so busy working on the jeep and running to the flaps we didnt really take any... now to get the brakes working so i can take the kids for some rides around the neighborhood

Well there's a catch. After our night of jubilation the starter took a dump. So last night my daughter and i went and took advantage of the lifetime warranty and exchanged it before her bedtime. Since it was too late to fire it up I did some research and adjusted the idle because it was ripping at like 3k when we fired it up. Lo and behold when i got home from work and cranked her up (after taking 30 min to find the keys that one of my helpers had moved to a pile of weeds by the garage door) the starter is not cutting off once i release the key... im guessing its a bad ignition switch (generic 4 post unit) but I would love to pick your brains because i want to throw the new master cylinder in and start driving this fine example of iron oxide cheque

Mine did that once, turned out to be a bad solenoid. But I'm guessing your new starter came with a new solenoid so not sure.

It was an easy fix, had the battery hot going to the starter post on the key switch. I gave myself an F on troubleshooting that one. A buddy of mine needed help getting his car loaded on a trailer tonight so I didn't get any work done or pics taken but it was the right thing to do...

Great thread....and you can’t have too many pics. It helps to see as many Jeep pics as possible, for all of us.

Another slow motion build, like mine! I recommend building a photo album of your work and progess. I lost too many photos when cell phone took a drink, etc.

Mmmmm, they always sound so nice. (y)
Open manifolds though; I bet that was pleasant.

Love how the camera’s frame rate freezes and ‘reverses’ the cooling fan.
