I can't stands it no more! I figured I'd share this in case anyone else has this issue.

I use a short ratchet strap to hold my chainsaw onto my dirt bike, and it's not uncommon to strap/ustrap this thing 100 times in a day. It drives me crazy when the locking mechanism gets cocked sideways and jams. Every. Time.

I devised a simple fix that should take care of the problem. I cut out two tiny tabs to weld onto the outside of the lock. This should hold it centered.

Tried it out yesterday in your state. Good time it was. Worked great!

That’s funny I was riding yesterday on the boarder of our two great states, in and out of both of them along the state line divide trail south of lost trail pass. I recently purchased a saw and a carrier for the front of my bike but haven’t put it to use yet. I Always ride with a silky hand saw though.

Me too, just further north! Parked at Thompson Pass, rode the State Line trail (#7) 13 miles north to Black Peak, then rode down into Trout Creek, MT for some food. 75 miles of a lot of this:

I thought I was flying solo until Friday afternoon, but I found one guy who's willing to leave at 4am and ride crazy trails for 11 hours straight. :D

I like it, would love to have more riding like that down here in socal. Over the years while laying out enduro courses I've packed a lot of different tools, shovels, picks, saws on the bike, a lot of work but worth the effort.
