Note that your springs have sagged quite a lot, and the original stance was somewhat higher than the way it is now. If the spring shop successfully duplicates the original profile of the spring, you should be fine. You can always have your local tire shop check the alignment and add caster shims as needed. Ask for the printout from the machine.

    1955-1973 Jeep CJ5, CJ6, DJ5, DJ6 - Leaf Spring (Rear - 10 Leaves) [97-395] | $179.95 | SD Truck Springs | Leaf Springs, Helper Springs and Suspension Parts
    1955-1973 Jeep CJ5, CJ6, DJ5, DJ6 - Leaf Spring (Front - 10 Leaves) [97-302] | $128.95 | SD Truck Springs | Leaf Springs, Helper Springs and Suspension Parts

Pretty sure these are the same as the Dayton springs sold by RockAuto. These are generic OEM replacements - likely different from Omix, but maybe not. Omix does a lot of repackaging and reselling. For this price, you can buy the BDS suspension kit which includes new shock absorbers. 1972-1975 Jeep CJ Series CJ5, CJ6 2.5" lift kit 400H | BDS Suspension Custom will be more.

Note also that manufacturers like BDS typically sell direct at full list price only. This protects their retailers. If you have a local 4x4 shop that you are friendly with, they may be able to get this kit and save you some money. I bought my BDS springs through a third party (no longer in business) and they were about $200 less than list, shipping included.

I will go over to the local 4/4 garage Monday and see what they recommend. Plan to get the front U joints replaced at the same time.
Good points all. I’m taking my time to get it right so no rush.

My CJ-6 came out with too little caster after installation of BDS springs. I also installed Mike's extended shackles - this messes with the caster too, so part of the caster could be attributed to that. With the factory length shackles you might be within factory range. However, a little more caster than the factory specifies, say 5-7 degrees, seems to improve stability on the highway.

Supposedly you can rent (purchase then get a refund when returned) a gauge to measure caster at Autozone. No personal experience.

mine has stock length shackles and no shims in front, tracks good and no tire wear. I added shims in the rear to help with driveline angles after the four speed but had no vibration issues either before the four speed or after.
