Were these standard equipment or an option for a 1967 CJ5?

Don't know about '67, but I have the original dealer sales invoice for my '57 CJ5.

It came with a side mount, not listed among the options.

I just had a 66 that was definitely original on the side.

The pages below are from a salesmens' Jeep Data Book from late 1965 showing the '66 model year jeeps. Both standard and optional equipment are listed.

Note that under Optional Equipment > Miscellaneous it lists a tailgate-mounted spare tire carrier (which may have been a dealer-installed aftermarket item, like the roll bars initially were a few years later). The side-mounted spare tire carrier is not specifically mentioned on either list. However, based on the fact that the standard equipment included 5 wheels and tires, it is very probable that the side-mounted spare carrier was likewise standard:

The side mount spare tire was standard on the CJ5 from1955 to 1983.

Counterweights, similar those used on tractors.

Used for accessory equipment on the back end like a trench digger or backhoe.

The FC150 trucks also had an optional rear counterweight, I'm guessing to improve handling/stopping?

I don't think they were optional. A 150 is totally undriveable without one.

    LOL....

Mostly on eBay, but sometimes places that sell automotive literature have stuff like this too.

I've managed to collect quite a bit of it over the years!
