I have a 1973 Jeep Commando with the 304 v8 in it. I have bought a reman power steering gear box, power steering pump and the high pressure line for it. I also paid an arm and a leg for the power steering pump mounts. The question I have, will the power steering gear box be a direct fit for the manual steering gear (ie. input and output shafts). Thanks for any info

Yes. The manual box may use 3 bolt mounting; the p/s unit may be 4 bolt mounting.
    But it will bolt up.
But you will need a new pitman arm.
Different sizes between manual and power.
    Length is the same.

I think the intermediate shafts are different also.

Then there is this one, I am not sure what the original Jeep application was.

I ended up using one like the first one shown in Ken's (Oldtime) pictures on my 1970 J/C

    Looks like a Wagoneer bracket ... '74 J10/J20/Wagoneer ... maybe earlier too.

Yes ... all '70s J-truck/Wagoneer with 258/304/360. may be essentially the same as the earlier part, but not that part number. That PN starts with the AMC engines.
