Leaking Transmission

    Have a Dauntless V6 with a T-14 in my CJ2A. Tranny has a leak that I am unable to repair right now. Has any one found a way to monitor gear oil levels and /or refill the tranny without removing the skid plate?

    Depending on how you drive/use your jeep, you could just leave the skid plate off until you are able to repair the leak. If you do skid plate worthy activities on a regular basis, there is the option to remove the top tunnel access panel. More bolts, but at least you aren't crawling underneath. I have the same drivetrain, only in a 68 CJ5, so I am not sure how your tunnel panels are set up or if the access is better from above?

    Be careful though, twas fixing a transmission leak that led to this...

    I personally hate those damn pumps. Very little flow per stroke and hard to press normally it crushes the bottle as you pump lol IMHO
