F134 Electric Cooling Fan?

    Has anyone ever tried installing a electric cooling fan on there ECJ5 or any Willys Jeep? I was just thinking it might free up alittle more power but not alot since its practically a 4x4 tractor that is street legal.

    But then you wouldn't have that unique "fan howl" that says "F-Head and proud of it!"

    hallo

    yes i ve done it on f134 + oil cooler (i hope you will understand)

    electric fan

    - fan spal 51mm thick ( more it s impossible to install . the fan touche water pump pulley )
    - home made bracket , that is bolted on oem shroud screw
    - stainlees elbow 38mm diameter + nut 22x150 welded on it and probe 22x150

    it works fine even in moutain tracks

    oil cooler

    - 7 rows in front of the oem radiator
    - sandwich plate + home made adapter ( half part of a 3/4x16 welded with a nut from rear axle of hd sportster )
    i use now oil filter from zj v8 5.2
    the adpater is use to connect the zj oil filter to cj5 oil plate
    - oil hose : dash6 + home made adapter

    yep got to have the fan sound (y) wouldn't be the same without it

    Every time I have my Jeep revved up a bit, it reminds me of the days of MASH when one would hear the Jeeps come roaring into camp. Definitely a unique sound....

    Yea, I like my f head. Just wish it had 2 more cylinders!:D
