Popped onto CL this morning and found an ad for a 5 foot brake that has a roller attachment with a 2 foot depth. He was only asking 400 for it. Called the gentleman and he was available this evening, so I just got back to the shop with it.

It's a well-built homemade unit. Bent a 90 in a 16 gauge piece of steel like it was aluminum!

There are 3 sizes of dies for rolling ridges and one set of dies for a step edge.

Yes, the deals are out there, just gotta have the cash to jump on them quickly! BTW we got him down to 300 for the package!!!

Funny, pics are working showing up on my screen?!?

I'd like to re-do the legs on this brake, they are kind of chicken legs for so heavy a brake.

The pix are likely working for you due to your computer's cache. If you clear your cookies and cache there's a good chance you'll see what we see... Nothing.

Wow. So you're saying Firefox (which I use all the time) and IE (which I never use) and Chrome (which I use once in a blue moon) all share the same cache?

Or you have the pics set to private, where you can see them through your account? This is what we see.

Found out what's going on - I have been told the "security certificate" for the website expired on 8/31/16 and the "new" one isn't considered valid and therefore will be blocked by default by most modern browsers (like an auto-renewal thing-a-ma-jiggy). Ephotobay is in my whitelist, so I see them fine. When I joined this forum and needed a pic host, they were the only free service that did not have an 11 or 12 page TOS. Their TOS was 2.5 pages and wasn't so legalese, so I signed up with them.:coffee:

My IT pro friend just happened to stop by and I casually asked him about this pic issue and he fiddled with his phone after I gave him the site address. Above is what he said in about 40 seconds.

Yea! Thanks. Much better. I was looking for a way to mount my bead roller. This may be it.

Yes, it is a nice way to mount the roller. Plus it only needs two bolts! This roller has a 26-1/4 inch depth to it - much deeper than most I've seen that are 18 inch depth.

I bent the 14 gauge metal I got for my 71 Commando floors. A 45, then a 60 and another 60 degree bends on each. This brake is definitely HD, but I'd like to add at least two more turn screws to the unit so the center clamps harder. That and the chicken legs this brake has. Need to do something about that as well.
