Well That's Not Supposed To Look Like That!!!

    I was finishing off the new wiring harness install and went to hook up the reverse light switch and pulled the pan and found this!!
    It's a good thing that I have not put this jeep in service and driven it very much.

    Probably would run forever like that. At least it looks like someone screwed a cover on to it.

    Hmmm, upper clutch inspection cover could be handy. No more crawling underneath & getting dirty!

    Old jeeps had an inspection cover screwed on. I got one if you want it! I would put the cover back on and never speak of it again!

    That's pretty funny. Maybe the bearing fell off the fork one too many times trying to reinstall the transmission.

    Probably work fine like that as long as you don't get some big air or such.

    This is a '71? If so, that's a bell with a 1-year run. Too bad the PO cut a hole in it.
