    I hate to lead you wrong but on mine, it just pulls off. Who knows what has been replaced over the years?

    got it while over there today. had a round half moon clip that had to be pushed toward knob . and pulled right off

    Sorry I didn't get back to you in time. Yep a stiff wire with a hook bent on end and just slide it in on the flat side to release. Too lat now but maybe help someone else later. :D
