I appreciate the comments from all of you, Ill look into these ports, and I will look into the painted intake for the mean time but if my science served me right, I believe aluminum conductivity is twice that of cast iron such as my engine block. so in theory the intake is like the Mighty Mississippi, all the heat is going into it. and the source of the heat is conducting into the intake, and since its under the, and not out in the sunlight or open air, I don't believe the intake could (painted or bare) radiate the heat faster than its conducting it. Now if I do lose horsepower, i believe it would be minimal or fractional to the point that I wouldn't even notice. besides its a summer vehicle and a 66' v6 engine and a jeep, knowing going into this i wasn't seeking gas mileage nor extreme HP but stock 150hp tops from the old engine. but i do appreciate everything, and if it brings me trouble I will buy you 5th or case of your liking. thank you brothers of Jeepers
