You should be able to tap it back in place. That pin is a press fit if I remember correctly and not driven in.

Provided your T90 is a cane-shift, you will need to unbolt (6 bolts) the top shift cover to gain access to the reverse idler shaft internally. Be sure to shift the trans in neutral before unbolting, for ease of re-assembly. The side shift trans is similar, except you simply remove the tin top cover and don't need to worry about gear position.
With a simple drift (even a long screwdriver), tap the reverse idle shaft back so the lock tab groove is flush with the case face, then install a fresh lock tab. You may have to rotate the reverse idler shaft or lower countershaft so the tab groove lines up.
This shouldn't be too difficult correct.

Edit. You said reassembly.... Just remove the main shaft or? What needs to come out to gives room?

Not much to the reassembly Just be sure that the sheetmetal plate fits in the recess in the transfer case so the gasket actually does it's job.

By re-assembly, I was referring to bolting the cane shift lever/cap back on the main case. Pulling this assembly off will allow limited access to the reverse idler shaft inside the gear case. This is why I recommended using a screwdriver or such as a drift to tap the idler shaft back to the correct position. There is a boss cast into the case that holds/supports the inner end of the reverse shaft, and you can get to the shaft at this end.
