Thinking ahead to warmer days and the to-do list for the Jeep: I had the heater assembly out in late summer to change out the heater core, but the "good" used one I put in also has a leak in it that has deadlined the Jeep until warmer weather comes. When I put the heater box back in I realized I had two outlets on the top of the box but only one hose for the defrosters. Is this right, or did I miss something? I looked and looked but never did find a second defroster hose, so I taped up the second outlet with duct tape until I could figure it out. Is there supposed to be a second hose?

One of them should be capped. Take your pick. IIRC they used black paper tape from the factory.

I found a black spray paint can that was the perfect size to block off one of the holes. It was a fairly tight fit then I put a hose clamp around it. Worked great.
