    I am looking for the right clutch fork boot for my CJ. It's in the bell housing from '70, in front of a T14. Just need source of supply.
    Thanks! :beer::beer:

    Did you try any of the vendors in the "where to find parts" sticky at the top of this section?

    Yea, unless I'm missing something the vendors seem to list mid to late seventies not '70-'71. I know it is different than my '69 bell housing, it's much larger.
    I'll call Herm, he lists a GM/V6 boot, just no application description or picture.

    I had thought only the '71 is an oddball bell. '66-70 should be a plain GM BOP bell. The '71 was different because it included the adapter as part of the bell housing.

    It's possible that the boot for the AMC bell (T-14, T-15, T-18) would work. No PN here at work ... later if you can't find it.

    The boot on my 71 is 4.25" wide and 3.75 inches tall. I have not been able to find a replacement.

    I do know the bell housing from my '69 was short and has an adapter to the transmission. The '69 has a small boot. My replacement running gear is supposed to be from a '70, the bell housing is one piece, and the hole the fork is in is huge (4.25 x 3.75). I'm still looking. I wish vendors put measurements with their pictures.

    I bought a couple OEM NOS boots from Kaiser Jeep but they were not cheap.
    Cost me like $75 a piece.
    They are much thicker constuction than any of the modern repops.
    I may decide to sell one of them someday.
