vinyl mat

    Wanting to custom cut a vinyl mat fornthe front floorboard for my'65 Tuxedo. The standard Jeep suppliers have various versions with different cutouts floor shifters. Need blank mat material say 36" x 60". Any ideas where I can get this?

    Is you want the blank mat that's rubber check your local flaps.

    My local O'Reilly's had some that I was going to use for the 65 Chevy I had.

    Another member mentioned using harbor freight anti fatigue mat for floorboards

    Hope I understood your question right

    I used a truck bed rubber mat. Cut to fit floorboards and back bed. Works great and it is heavy duty.

    Same thing I did. I made a cardboard template to fit in exactly, and they work great! I already had the bedmat, so the cost was $0 :)
    You can kinda see the rear seat mat in this picture-it comes all the way up under the front of the passenger seat.

    Just bought some garage floor mat material at Autozone.....going to try an cut to fit....hope I can make it look good. Not sure how well it will form around the trans hump.

    Tractor Supply has a 4x8 sheet of rubber that works pretty well. It's not heavily reinforced like the bed liner so it forms pretty well.

    With the garage floor mat, you should be able to make some carefully planned slits, and glue the edges together with 3M weatherstrip cement. By definition, it won't be seamless, but you should be able to fit the hump pretty well. A heat gun will help to smooth out the last wrinkles.

    I repaired the mats in my J10 with some black vinyl material, and the weatherstrip cement still holds it together. If I were making mats from flat stock, I'd make a paper pattern. Figure out what path over the hump is the longest, and make that the uncut axis of the mat. Then slit and remove material to make the pattern lay flat over the rest of the hump. Just a suggestion. Patterns are always helpful for stuff like this.
