I like it... but I'm with Tim 100% on condition, approach, and price range.

I agree with all of the above. Right now, I'm just not in the mood to work on one a whole lot. I am looking for an out-of-the-box "runner". I've repaired all those issues before and I know that the turn signals alone could be a one hour to one week project... I didn't even make the seller an offer. It's a beauty of a Jeep and has just the right amount of patina (which is rare around here). I just want something that I can jump in and drive (and my wife can do the same). This one wasn't it.

IMO, don't buy a jeep if you don't plan to sink some money and work into it. Of course, the cleaner the jeep, the more you'll pay. This is part of owning a jeep....It's a jeep thing, you won't understand.

i tend to disagree with the above statement. i paid 2500 for a running 74 and have had great luck it is more dependable than many newer vehicles ive owned. keep looking they are out there

That jeep up here would be at least a $3500 rig, if not more. No cancer with original paint is unheard of in the NW. But if it's not what you want then hold on, the right rig will come.

Man I would jump on that thing in heart beat if it had the 258 in it.... 74s with the straight six are my thing.

You can disagree all you want....it's a fact, the better condition the jeep is in, the more you pay, that's with any car. Your statement of your jeep being more reliable is your opinion and all relative to what car you're trying to compare to.

not an opinion. it starts every day the 97 tahoe wont -30 that thing(the tahoe) just groans, the 02 lincoln not so much, the jeeps ( a 74 and a 76) start right up. and you dont have to spend a ton to get a good one
