My problem when I got my stuff was that the 11 gauge was the thinnest they had.

I suspect it is actually either 11 or 1/8th. I find it hard to believe they only had 14, but whatever. If I think it is too light then I will just double it up in the stressed places or add a cross member, no biggy.

Brett, I assume you somehow welded nuts into the tubing to bolt to?

Hum, i'm a little late on that tread but here's how i did mine. I wanted something strong to hold my fiber body, so i decided to fab my own subframe using 1.5" x 3" with 1/8 wall. The goes trought 8 body support. Here's a pic of mine, i know that i not using the oem frame and mount but i fabed it to fit my 1975 frame using the oem frame mount.

For the bushing i bought a kit for a tj wrangler and make then fit my body and frame mount.

This is what I did with my 1947 CJ2A...it was a mess....I took as many measurements from what I had left...cut and fit and chop...and then repeat again....grind grind....cut cut....tack tack tack...I actually did it one side at a time so I had something to base it on....[IMG][/IMG]

This is what I started with....also note I added some 1x1 square tube to the perimeter for a little added support...sorry the photo is kinda blurry...good luck...this tub took me almost 11 months to redo...I didn't buy one patch panel tho...
