Just got back from a quick little run around town. The ol' girl wont idle for nothin' but she purrs like a kitten going down the road under power. I put a new solex on it just before putting her away about two years ago while I was in the shipyard. Ran great then, started it last summer and it ran great then too. This time around no go. I have fresh fuel with stabil in it, I have squirted the crap out of the carb with cleaner, hit it with a mallet to see if something was stuck and still no joy. I have good fuel going to the carb with zero vac leaks that i can find anyway. Maybe some seafoam will clean out whatever is sticking (at least that's what I think is happening)...thoughts gents? While she was sitting, there was stabil in the fuel but like I said it was almost two years ago.

Sounds like a piece of junk is stuck somewhere in the idle circuit of the carb. If you're lucky this might work - Completely remove the idle mixture adjustment screw and blow carb cleaner then air in the hole the screw goes in. Put the screw back in to wherever it was adjusted before you removed it and see if it will idle. If not, remove and disassemble the carb. Blow carb cleaner and compressed air through every hole and passageway you can find. Reassemble and you should be good.

Yeah that's what I am thinking. Will spray the **** out of everything on Saturday and see what I get for results. If not at least the carb is easy to rebuild.
