Ohio is like Georgia. Testing only in Metro areas that don't meet the clean air standard. Every 2 years and 25 years and older exempt. Done through the state through an independent vendor. We don't pay for the test anymore. The state pays for it with tobacco settlement money

After failing on high HC and Low CO......

    1. Changed out the spark plugs. Found they had been gapped to 0.045 - 0.049. Also, #8 had a small amount of carbon buildup...enough to potentially cause poor firing.

    2. Followed Edelbrocks video to clean out the idle mixture screws and passages (basically remove the screw, clean and then blow out the passage with air). After I did that, both screws could be set the same.

    3. Set the idle at the top range (850 RPM).

I didn't pass the HC by much, but that is all it took!!! Now I can finish registering it and start enjoying!!

CO at idle was 3.09 (spec is 5.0). HC was 395 (spec is 400)....like I said, did not pass by much.
