Can anyone tell me if the mainshaft bearing spacer on the transmission output shaft (in front of the bull gear in the transfer case) is the same for the T90 and the T14 ?

If not, can anyone give me measurements for the one using the T14 ? (I have what I suspect is the T90 spacer.)

    Thanks in advance !

No the T90 and T14 rear bearing adapters are not the same.

Not sure if you are talking about the same thing, but I found out the bearing "spacer" is NOT the same. What I am talking about is the ~1/4" thick washer -type "spacer" that goes between the bearing and the bull gear. The T90 version has a larger diameter than the T-14.

Thanks all, I got what I need... one step closer to being on the road.

Willys Motors refers to the part as a bearing adapter.
It is not to be confused with an adapter plate as is used on T98 transmissions.
The T90, T86 and T14 all use a different bearing adapters.

You guys are talking about two different things.
Gixx, the mainshaft bearing spacer goes between the mainshaft and rear output bearing, NOT between the bearing and transfer case input gear. The T-14 and T-90 do Indeed use different parts.

Oldtime, the bearing adapter is the part that centers the bearing in the case on a T-90 and T-86. On the T-14 fits in a groove on the back of the transmission case, helps retain the bearing at the right depth, and cEnters the large hole transfer case on the back of the transmission.

Different part than what Gixx was referring to.

    Nicks right.
    I wasn't paying attention.

The bearing adapter indexes into the rear of the transmision and in some cases it indexes the TC.
The T90 and T86 both have a 4-5/16" transmission index.
The T90 bearing is 3-5/32 O.D. and that indexes direct into the small hole TC.
The T86 bearing adapter uses the same bearing but it has a 4" shoulder to index into the big hole TC.
Not sure about the T14 bearing adapter. I don't mess with T-14's anymore.
But I expect it uses a different diameter to index the rear of the transmission plus the 4" TC shoulder.

Not sure about the bearing spacer dimensions but they should all be 1-3/8" I.D. to slide over the maindrive shaft.
