So my Uncle purchased a 94 Jeep YJ. When it passed away he gave it to my Dad (his brother). My dad has had it for years and is not in his upper mid 70's. He got to where he was having a hard time getting in and out and decided it was time to pass it on to me. So last weekend I went to Tennessee with the and drove it back to Florida. About 600 miles. About 70 MPH the whole trip.

She made the trip with no issues. I did find out a few things. The fan does not work. The AC does not work. The radio is not bad but it does work. Needs cosmetic work. My dad is a very functional guy. As long as it works, he is happy with it. Mechanically it seems excellent for a 181,000 mile jeep. My Dad just put 31's on it.

Plan is to just fix what is wrong and keep it mostly the way they had it. Paint it back to the stock color, fix the fog lights (those came stock with it). Maybe put on a deficient winch. I'm looking for stock bits and pieces. I guess ebay will be my friend again.

It will be my daily driver. I'll work on it over the winter as I drive it.

    Any thoughts I'd appreciate it.

CJ's are still in the shop, waiting on a time for me to finish them.

I loved my 91 with the four angry squirrels under the hood. I had no radio, no working heat or ac. Wish I’d have kept it. Before going Offroad make sure the cad works and the transfer case pulls

A friend of mine had one, a 4 cyl. It was still a Jeep. No problem. Just make repairs when it is time to do it.

If not already done, inspect the frame for cracks and corrosion. This era was very prone to having severe frame rust thru issues.

Yep. Hate them. But I have better light than on my truck or the wife's car. I'll get to accept them.

I've also noticed the oil pressure is high at 40 psi at idle and up to 80 at speed. On the trip down it was 40 at idle to about 60 at 70mph. I'm thinking the sender needs attention.

I have not really looked it over. I'll do that later this week. Today I want to figure out why I don't have a working blower in the heater.

I greatly enjoyed my YJ. So long as it doesn't rot away, it'll run until you're tired of looking at it.

Yep. 4.0. Top has a few issues with zippers. The lights are the best of any car we own. We can actually see at night.
