Given the asking prices on some of this stuff, you might look around for a parts jeep of the right age.

Surprising what you can get from a $100 junker. Particularly if you need small parts that are not available as repro.

Some of this stuff is just rich for my blood. It will show up when it shows up. Not a time frame.

Got a cast iron block type mirror, the mirror is rusted out. Does any know where you can get a replacement mirror.

Any reputable auto glass shop should be able to fabricate one for you.

Here is one that came with my jeep in a box of parts. It appears to be the same as the Petl posted above. Mine is an original 65 CJ5.
Glad to see it and now I can mount it with one bolt! Except I don't have the correct bolt! IMG_20181115_150451913.jpg IMG_20181115_150522161.jpg

The one-bolt is curious to me.

However, I've been able to learn that the original owner flipped my Jeep in about 1960, "breaking the windshield."

Possibly the mirror I have was not mounted at the factory?

So take the earlier information given above with this grain of salt

I looked at an old video of my 65 tux and my mirror was mounted with both nuts inside. I had removed it to clean it up and reinstalled it the same way. This video was shot after I sold it.

Somewhere around the 3:13 minute mark the video flashes past the mirror.
