brown santa has visited several times this week:)
first was the 15" reverse rotation rigid race fan
    [IMG]
need to space it out a bit but hopefully it'll do the job. I recieved the front driveline from Tom Woods today....it has 6 1/4" travel to cover the shackle reversal
    [IMG]
Had to take the radiater back in to have the bottom hose mount modded a bit....no way I could get a hose on it the way it was
been working on odds and ends....it's coming

finally got the radiater back, and installed it on the grill. I ended up useing a 1/2" spacer on the fan to get it away from the accessories on the motor. After getting everything together I wasn't happy with the clearances. I unbolted the trans mount, loosened up the motor mounts and winched the motor toward the back another 5/8"..............I'm happy now with the fit :), the 5.0 is tight in a ecj6!

gonna spend the weekend getting everything wired up ( I hope) R)

sounds good to me Clint...if I get it running
Spent the day messing w/ the wiring........2 factory manuals on the 88 lincoln, my ezwire diagrams, and a pdf download w/ factory wiring diagrams
trying to wrap my head around integrating the existing harness w/ the computer harness..........think I cut out some things I needed, it's all in a box w/ a mile of wiring.......my head hurts :)
I was able to find a upper rad hose that works, but the bottom is a challenge, kinda shaped like a candy cane....even tried a universal but it pinches down near the rad outlet....details details

If you can find the right sized coil spring at the hardware store and slip it inside the radiator hose it will prevent it from collapsing or kinking. Did that with a large diameter fuels hose that had some tight turns in it.

John here's a pic of the lower hose, it has wire in it
    [IMG]
They had a hose that was close to correct, may get it and put the wire from this one in it.
Gonna call ezwire tomorrow....need to consult w/ a mechanic that works for me.......getting closer but still some ????????

    If it was me........
I'd have a piece of aluminized exhaust pipe bent up, with a short piece of rubber hose on each end. Twice the clamps, yes, but no kinks...
At least it looks in the pic like it could be done...

thanks for the suggestions Patrick and Ryan
think I'll try Patrick's first (cause I'm cheap), then Ryan's if the former doesn't work

Just cuz it's cheap, doesn't mean it won't work.;)

I once mounted the radiator in the back of an FJ40 with a 454. I plumbed it all in with aluminized pipe. The customer ran it for 5 or 6 years that I know of with no problems or leaks...

Got all my wiring finished....the guy at ezwire was a great help. Need to install all my grounds, install starter, and double clamp the fuel lines.....oh and figure out the accelerator cable then I'm ready to fire this bad boy up :)

You are too patient. No need for an accelerator cable to hear it start!

FWIW, you are building exactly what I want. I've owned a few small block fords quite a few of which were 5.0 mustangs. Very excited for you and jealous.

Spent yesterday getting everything ready for starting for the first time. I cranked it over but am not getting spark to the plugs. I checked all the wiring, thought maybe it was a ground issue so double checked them (still may be the culprit). I have 12v to the coil w/ key on/ 12v when cranking....no spark.....hmmmmm.
I spent time on it today as well....guess I'm gonna have to bring my mechanic over to set me straight :(

??????not sure there is one.......I have a voltage regulator and the rest runs through a starter relay. Is this what you mean or is there something I'm missing?
