my hand throttle was free,,,, off my daughters bike she did not ride anymore . just made a small adapter to go from handlebars to T-18 . works awsome and you can fine-tune it with the adjusting nut. one click gets you 800rpm .4 clicks and you get a suicide cruise control :) [IMG]

I use a twist loc "T" handle for throttle control, I got it at Napa, but I can't find the receipt, I paid right around $30

Appreciate the thoughts. I have a twist lock already and think I've explored most all other options. Just looking for a real vernier hand throttle, as used in the trucking industry, and more expensively in the aircraft industry ... locking, pushbutton release, mounts in standard Mil hole in the dash. Easy to come buy just looking for an excellent price :)

aallison was right, eBay was the only place I could get the price of a NEW vernier down to my range.
The pic is of it mocked up for fit and functionality. I'll need to make a proper shifter bracket for it as time permits. Man!, it sure works nice and is a bunch better than the T handle dash mount it replaces :) Cheers!

Just what an ECJ5 needs - another lever. Didn't brillco offer a cheap source for this a while back? ;)

OK I like it,, What exactly did you search for on ebay? I was looking for "Vernier Hand Throttle" but have not been able to find anything. I really like the set up you have. I have had to replace the twist lock system I have twice, and it's getting loose again, so maybe it's time to upgrade????

Just a search for "vernier" worked the best. After sorting out vernier calipers, the most hits came from aviation MIXTURE controls ... not so much in the throttle catagory

Finished the prelim fab of the vernier bracket, as opposed to just having a hose clamp holding it onto the shifter. Works much good.
I sure like the panic button for instantly releasing it from "cruise control" mode
