Don't listen to these guys! It's absolutely worthless and actually hazardous to your financial health. I'll run up there and rescue you from it this weekend. You can thank me later. monkeys

Welcome from a little further down the state.

    Very Nice!

You asked about "paddle tires" What type of tire are you referring to? What are you planning to do? Mud bogger, snow, drive on road?

Excessive size, especially with wheel spacers will place quite a load on the Dana 27 front axle, and stopping distance will increase quickly also.

Not planning on going very big less than 33's for sure. just want good traction in mud and snow conditions. mostly to not get stuck. any brands models come to mind.

Paddle tire usually means a sand tire, like this:

That looks like a nice CJ6. Mine came with a 4 cyl-- so I put in a Buick V6

I would guess it is worth about 6000 dollars

That photo is what I picture for a paddle tire, but would be surprised if that is what you would want in that climate, Paddle tires not good for mud and snow.

There are lots of good general mud tires out there.

yes, I think I am going to go with a mud and snow tire... i was referring to a more aggressive mud tire that had treads alternating from each side, but i don't plan on mudding, just want traction... This Jeep runs like a top now... drained the gas tank, put a new fuel filter in front and behind the fuel pump, and turned the key, it fires right up...

The previous owner was a friend of my grandfathers. He told me he bought it new in '66. He had a 1969 arctic cat snowmobile he sold in 1993 with 353 miles on it... the guy barely put miles on anything, and took great care of everything... I know for a fact that the 14569 miles on the odometer were origional.

I am looking forward to getting this jeep a clean-up, and showing it off.

thanks to all for all the imput

For tires, I like the Super Swamper line from Interco. They make several tread designs that will work well up in snowy MN. I lived there for a year in Elk RIver. Darn cold. Anyway, that is what I will be running on my 6......
