I didn't notice any on the street. But, I've never driven one of those really long Jeeps; they might be squirrely...:D

    Different shelf.

    Closer to the Jeep....:)

The carb may or may not make it on. September is a lost month Jeep-wise. If October weather holds I may see about getting it on there for a dune trip, otherwise I'll skip right over it to the FI.

Oh - I think it bounces a bit way in the back. I'll send a kid back there to check it out next time we're take it somewhere...R)

Stopped by a semi truck supply place today and scored some metal fire extinguisher mounts. I've looked in probably half a dozen places for them.

So I was able to weld these up tonight.

Then what, have em call you with their findings?

I like the extinguisher mount. Certainly better than my plastic unit held on with hose clamps...

BTW - hat tip to NickMil for the exhaust clamp idea. Cost per mount is ~$10 with this approach.

"This is a Texas Jeep with original steel body! The CJ6 is a rare Jeep, only around 50,000 built and most were exported. There aren’t many left. This one is in very good condition and nicely built with many thoughtful extras like interior lighting, windshield washers, accessory outlet, aftermarket heat, shoulder belts, and much more.

    More info…
    4.3 Chevy
    T18 trans
    D18 twin stick t-case
Dana axles with 4.27 gears and rebuilt Powr-Lockrs
32″ Bfg muds on 15″ Stockton rims.
    Cage by JCR Offroad.
Rear bumper w/ 2″ receiver and swing out tire carrier by Cross Industries.
Onboard air plumbed front and rear.
Tomken tow shackles. Tow bar and wired to flat tow.
Flip and fold passenger and rear seats.
Jeep has been completely rewired with an EZ-Harness.
    Power steering upgrade with brace.
    11″ manual brakes.
    Warn lockouts.
TJ shoulder belts, front and rear.
Onboard water tank under driver’s seat with electric pump with garden hose hookup where the original gas fill was.
Later CJ gas tank mounted behind rear axle.

BestTop Full soft top and doors in good condition.

The transfer case has a leaking rear seal. The jeep needs a paint job, I’m considering having it painted but can’t decide on a color.”

I certainly wouldn't have an issue choosing a color for it.

Wish I would've seen the listing prior to it selling.
