Yes, very likely. Some heavy equipment uses exhaust hangers of similar design.

Found a bundle of wires inside the front left corner of my tool box. The round knurled nuts were on the exterior front face of the toolbox.

They look like the female end of a 1/8” headphone jack.

I don't think so... those are behind the axle pointed to the bumper. 90deg away from the axle. 45deg out from exhaust. The eye is really tight like a cable would go to it and it's all decently heavy. The holes in the bumper had to have something...
How about the front of hood and windshield brackets...

I am bumping this post back up and adding some information. There was a bundle of cables secured to the wall of my tool box. I traces the other end to the front outside of the tool box where there was what appears to be two female 1/8 jacks. Any ideas what that would have represented? Stereo in the tool box? I didn’t see any evidence of previous power lines, but that could have been removed already.

    Hi everyone,

My first post so forgive me if this is the wrong place. I aquired a 69 cj5 but as I've been going through the axels, I find that I have a D41 rear and a D25 front. Did the 69 come stock with these axles. Everything that I've read says no. I'm wondering what you guys think.

Welcome to the forum. The 69 should have D44 rear and D27 in the front I think. Not absolutely sure, but someone here will know for sure. I think your axles are from a much older model probably.

Could be an earlier CJ with a 69 title?
I agree with @Ol Fogie should be 44/27 for a’69.
Welcome! The free education at this place is amazing.

Thanks guys that's what I'm finding out as well. Yes it's titled as a 69. I guess I could do some research on the vin but now I'm not sure I can even trust that.

Not the right thread for questions like this, should be in the technical, or general discussion thread, but it is okay. The 69 would have came stock with D44 rear, and D27 front as already stated.

I suggest you start a new topic in the technical thread and post a picture of your Jeep. We should be able to tell you whether it is an older Jeep, but my bet is someone swapped in axles from an earlier Jeep, maybe to get the lower 5:38 gearing, or maybe because the originals needed work and they used what they had available.

That would be the correct engine and trans for a 69 model.
