I'm replacing the windshield frame on a late 60s CJ5 with bottom mounted wipers. The original was all rotted out. I'm looking for the screws that attach the hinges to the windshield frame. Not all of mine made it out intact. I don't have the remains in front of me now but I recall some were large pan head Phillips screws. Does anyone reproduce these? I see lots of offerings for lower hinge to tub screws but nothing for the upper hinge. Any leads are appreciated.

Aren't the lower and upper the same?

If you have a mental picture, you could start with the McMaster-Carr catalog - www.mcmaster.com

These aren't countersunk like the lower hinge.
Kaiser Willys is just listing hex head bolts for the part. I might spend some time with McMaster Carr and see if they have something closer to original.

If you are talking about the large Phillips head screws with serration on the cones I doubt you will find them McMaster-Carr, at least I couldn't when I was looking for them.

I did find them at QTM.

I just checked and they still list them as:

    Windshield Hinge Screw M38A1 CJ5

I've had a hardtop on mine for 20 years, totally forgot about that.

Those are not the ones I was talking about. I was talking about the screws that go in from the side to attach the cast bottom hinge to the body. You should be able to get the screws you need at a hardware store.

I know. But they are the ones the OP was asking about.

Which is why I said he could get the screws he needed at a hardware store.
