I can go out and measure the holes on my '69 later tonight. It still has the original floors. I'll put a reminder on my calendar.

Right on. Go figure theyd be 1 inch... the cover plate overlaps the the holes roughly 1/16 aroundIt? If you don’t mind taking a measurement, what would be the distance from front center hole to the front straight part of cowl support? As well as centre to center of the holes and uhhhh center hole to the inner side panel of Jeep maybe 13/4 or 2 inch??? Thanks Jesse

Thanks for the pic Dave. Pic will help me fab up those covers, have to find some rubber gasket material. I wouldnt use those odd rivets I’ll contact cement or something to the bottom of the covers. J

I don't understand those rivets, the originals which were in bad shape on the M38A1 did not have any rivets.

I think you've already have what you need, but I finally had time to measure mine. Holes are 1" diameter. Their centers are 7/8" forward and reaward from the center of the cover pivot hole. The cover pivot hole center is 3 1/2" back from the back of the cowl brace, and 1 3/4" inboard from the side wall.

I realized that I had my original floor and therefore drain hole on driver's side just recently. Had no idea they were there...Passenger side...Not so much. Nice, honest bubba'd patch job over there. Good to know that I have a source for replacement drain hole covers.

The drain holes are i inch in diameter and are 1 and 3/4 inch apart. The little threaded piece is one inch long and oblong directly between the two holes.
The holes start 1.25 in in from the flange along the edge. I make those threaded pieces out of the same thickness metal and grind them to the proper shape.
