    I just finished pressure washing the frame and engine. Most of the grease did not clean up off of the engine after hosing it down with a hot water pressure washer.
    I sprayed some industrial-grade engine Degreaser on it and let it sit 15 minutes per the directions.
    At least I can paint the frame tomorrow.

    So...my wrenching buddy is moving away the 16th! He has always been a terrific help and source of ideas and a great guy who enjoys working on old cars. Gonna be sad to see him go! Across the state, so idk how much wrench time we will have together :cry:
    He is the only friend I have with any mechanical aptitude at all.
    So, plan change as of right now....change all the fluids in the secondary, or blue FC, get it running and driving, and then go from there. I can putz around on, and take time on the red one, or naked chassis, as time permits.

    Updates to follow:cry::cry::cry:

    started the mounting of the master cylinder bracket. this will turn to this. the bracket and MC idea came courtesy of the FC connection website. a nice website. not in depth helpful, but its enough to get by with some collective images and some tech projects.

    Not really any progress...but some good news.
    A friend of mine came over for the first time in a year. He lives up north where I grew up and have my cabin. He has six kids so he doesn't get the travel much. It was great to see him and hang out down here. Normally I see him at my cabin, or his place with all the kids....
    He's into old cars and trucks too. He is a professional welder/weld instructor up at marinette marine.
    To make a long story short, he has more time than money. He said if I buy him an English wheel, and supply the sheet metal, he will fix my red FC cab up to be good as new.
    I feel like it's taking advantage of them. But it was his suggestion, and he was sober when he suggested it. And I've asked him a few times if he was serious....So now I'm looking at English wheels at either Harbor Freight or Northern Tool.
    A friend gets a tool, and I get bodywork

    Seems like a good deal to me! I did a similar deal with a buddy of mine: I ended up with a ladder, he got the gutters at his rental houses cleaned for awhile.

    Resized_20191008_163056.jpeg Shhh... dont tell the wife. I bought a carter yf for my fc, and a windshield for 130 bucks for an fc. You know, for when my body is done and ready for pickup next week.

    New windshield, or one salvaged from a donor? I'm going to need a windshield for one of mine.

    I'd imagine a used one. This guy I went to last night, he was a jeep freak. Had 2 windshields up in his rafters, and 11 other mint jeeps. An fc to boot!
