KW took care of you. Good.

But are they, and more importantly Omix Ada, still selling potentially dangerous parts to others?

I thought about this issue the other day and wondered if anything came of this yet? I'm sure all of us would like to know more. ;)

We had OEM parts break in the MB steering. I had to run about a block home kicking a front tire to steer the thing as my brother was in the Jeep. It's not a concept I want to think about if a person is out on a highway

KW hasn't had the part that long, but I haven't heard anything.

Wasn't someone offering an r&r service using John Deere pins awhile back? Think they advertised in the classifieds.

    Yep, me. :D

However, that was when the 15/16" sector shaft from KW for the V6 Ross box was nearly $300 and of questionable quality. With the quality and price of the one listed in the ebay link above, it makes better sense to just order one of those.

Are the hardened buttons still available from John Deere for Ross steering boxes? It might be good to buy some for the future.

You can, the John Deere part number is JDS1184. A Google search will give you several online options to purchase (around $22-25 each). Here is a link to the process in my build thread. If you dont have the tools and know how, the ebay kit is a good quality unit at a reasonable price.
