Does anyone know of a company that makes mounts for kc daylighters or similar lights on the upper sides of the windshield? Or would it just be easier to fabricate something up?

Sorry to be negative, but why do you want high-mounted lights? It's the Baja-racer look, and not practical IMO. They can only be used on the trail, and tend to blind you from the reflection off the hood and fenders.

    Year and equipment might help.

    First post! Welcome from Boston.

What do you want them to do for you? The single best lights enhancement is replacement headlights. I like the H4 replacement bulbs from Hella or Cibie, but I'm an old guy and there are newer makers and types that may be better. You can put high-wattage bulbs in your headlights that can be very powerful, but won't pass state inspection.

There are LED light bars today that you could install at between bumper and hood level. These will enhance your on-the-road distance vision a lot, as long as the law does not catch you. Anything called "driving lights" is going to hae a distant focus, and help most with high-speed driving. For low speed operation on the trail, I would suggest lights sold as "fog lights" which will give a short-distance, dispersed light. Normally fog lights are mounted as low as possible , to avoid reflection from the fog, but for trail use I expect you could mount them higher - again between bumper and hood level.

There are quite a few light bars that go above the windshield and bolt into the sides of the upper windshield frame or may extend down the side of the frame and bolt in using the hinge brackets - if you mount directly to the top of the windshield frame then use of a top gets tricky.
As a sort of hybrid between looks and function - what about mounting the lights directly on the hinge mounts using these:

Nope. Relays will be needed for anything except the "plug and play" replacement headlight bulbs.

Here are some various options that you may have already seen - some of these mount at the bottom of the windshield at the hinge brackets - some mount on the top sides....

Depends on your use.............If your into running trails in the dark as some Californian's do the KC lights seem to be more directional.......as opposed to say a LED light bar that floods the area and has mounts attached.......night running also require some lighting under the body near the front axle directed at the ground...............Welcome Aboard!

So to make the headlights better it would just involve changing out the bulb?

What do you have now, the factory sealed beams? They are terrible compared to modern halogen bulbs. You can buy bulbs that don't need relays, but the relays allow you to run brighter bulbs, make the bulbs even brighter by shortening the electrical path to them, and protect your headlight and high beam switch. An easy and cheap addition.

Just funny to read this thread. I just fab some mount for the 75's

I fab a braket that will bolt with the two bolt that hold the miror braket.

Pretty easy just need to do, maybe 10 minute of work for each one.
