Ah now I see. I remember not having much room to the fenderwell after I installed the pump and yours is further out from center than mine is. Here's how close to the fenderwell mine sits, not a lot of room there.

 

Yes! Great picts - I'm re-thinking where the fuel supply / return lines pre-fuel pump (it's busy on that side already). Not sure yet.

Your picts tell me exactly what I was thinking with the body off - I need to bring it into center - going to go think about what I have out there, and if I can re-fab it some more to make it get over toward the center a bit more.

 

Managed to setup the AA clutch chain

 

Small steps for certain.

May start on brake lines next.

Then circle back to the pump, i am procrastinating on the power steering pump...

 

Brake lines here and there. Rear lines just about done.

Thanks to @458soco for a couple parts that disappeared on me.

Clutch pedal is now drying in a nice shake and shoot black.

Capped the holes on the brake tee and shot with clear.

 

Made a few fiddly bits for the brake lines. Why make one, when you can easily make two?

Only finished one though.

 

today I finished plumbing brake lines.

as I type that, yeah, I do not like plumbing. Brake lines were a new fresh hell of plumbing, not found until purging them...







This one shows no lines to the rear - I promise they are there, I call them "the king's brake lines" and I'm the tailor.



now it may be time to set the tub on the frame

 

I'm waiting for it to leak now. Isn't that what plumbing does after you put it all together then fill / charge it?

 

You should really see that clutch pedal and shank that @458soco sent me! It's awesome sauce. I took a picture of that Tee he sent with the new lines plumbed. I can't say thanks enough!

Fuel lines in place for now. More on them later when i get to the under driver seat addition.

This has been off for 6 years.

Back on.

Working on mounting it to the frame now.

Will be adding rear bumper and mounts later.

Nice to see it back to here again.

 

Now i have to figure out how to level the body on the frame so the rear gas tank fittings dont get squashed, and so it doesnt sway at the front fenders.

 

I have 4 poly pucks stacked on top of the tank to clear the fittings.

I have two on the under-floor pan frame mounts.

I may have to fit the front clip to see how to line it up.

Want to keep the body lift to a minimum, but will make it work.

It puts the top of the frame at the rear 2.5 inches under the rear body mount.

I can play with my rear bumper some, it is 5 inches. The frame is 3 inches.

 

thinking about the body lift...

I like the lines currently sitting at about 2.5 with those tall and skinny tires.

BUT if I lower the rear gas tank some, I could go a little lower on the body lift (like 1.5 inches).

Any thoughts?

What have others done?

 

as a note with two-pucks stacked on the front frame mounts, the body rubs the T-98 transmission, which is expected a little, as the trans is higher.

 

Compromise .........That looks like the larger 20 gallon tank vs the 15 gallon tank I would lower the tank some...

 

How will the body lift affect the function of your through-the-floor pedals?

 

That I think is on my list of todo. going to lower it down about 1.5" and check it again.

 

Looking at the clutch currently, it looks like it is not that far off, and will not bottom out. Brake pedal is there, have not yet checked it yet as I need to fab a cover that includes it, but it's similar to the clutch (looks like it will still work fine).
