I want to put a twin stick setup on my J/U version Dana20. However I think I'll make my own as to get a kit to Ireland will be costly and I'm sure I have the ability to make it. My question is if I leave the detents as original what control do I get and also what do each of the levers select.

If I'm looking down on the Dana 20 the outer shafts seems to be 2wd and 4wd High and then using both rods and pushing fully in gives 4wd low.

One lever is the front axle and one the rear. Each lever will have a HI-N-LO position. The pill should prevent a combination of LO and HI but I think it will also prevent front only. Right now the linkage allows rear only, HI or LO. I don't know if there is any way to allow front only without removing the no LO+HI safety feature... likely not.

Read this...page 14 and 15. I have the only way to make a twin stick fully operationnal while keeping the interlock so you wont be able to make a hi/low combination. This way you be able to put front only in low or high range and rear only on low and high range.
