Not to drift off. I never got a look from a local LEO when my windshield was at my local glass shop. No inspection stickers on a '61 Jeep. I have used a towel and squeegee in the inside of the windshield for about two hours to get back out of Moab in a downpour.

You can get strange looks if you use a window washing squeegee at the gas station on the inside of your windshield. Try it someday.

I have used that gas station squeegee on the inside of several Jeeps. Once I was heading back toward Kremmling on a Sunday afternoon and couldn't see out of the windshield as I drove into the sunset. Found a place to pull off of the road. OK, no water, no paper towels. The river is about 200 feet below me. The gallon of milk in my cooler isn't going to help any, No ice in there either. In those days I smoked cigars and from them, all of the sawdust in the van and all of the outgassing from the plastics I couldn't see much or at least I didn't feel safe to drive it.
Alright, I have a new bottle of Vodka. Found the spare roll of toilet paper under the seat. Vodka actually works very well for a window cleaner.

A pouch of tobacco chew wetted down and used like a sponge..........does a pretty amazing thing to glass to get rid of road dirt , stains and other contaminates on the glass surface................Now just as a disclaimer...... I don't smoke nor chew but some old Trucker out on the interstate one night told me about that on the CB as I was complaining to him about road glare on the glass both inside and out in the rain..........I did try it and it worked.

I do chew and I suppose it's worth a try. Is there enough in a can of Copenhagen to do the job? My neighbor thought I was a complete idiot when I told him about vodka to clean the glass. He always used Windex and his windshield was always streaked until he tried vodka. It works on glasses too.

I'm talking about the little bag or pouches that had a pull string..........not sure if that is still made that way........but a little use to go along way.

It was a joke. I remember what things like Redman and Bugler Boy were. I have to admit I spent a night in jail about 40 years ago and after I was checked in they gave me a bag of Mail Pouch tobacco and a packet of rolling papers. WTF, I don't smoke? You got them anyway.
We seem to have drifted again from the topic.

Mail Pouch is chewing tobacco,Bull Durham is for smoking. It came in a cloth bag, with papers, and no it's not made anymore. Use glycerin on your windshield & goggles.

It really didn't matter as I didn't smoke and I suppose I made a friend in there for the night as I threw the 'baccy to him. I was also bigger than him.
We used to wipe down tires at a car show with glycerin so they were shiny.
