Picked up a M100 today. Decent shape for what I want. Surface rust only, drain holes still work,on 33's and aluminum wheels.
Got a spare 33 and rim for it too. Had to make a drop hitch for the Toy to use the pintle and will lengthen the landing leg. Have to wire the Toy for lights. Has CJ fender flares on it to cover the 33's. Someone put a tailgate in it, which is what I want anyway. This trailer is for household and camping use, not for restoration. Need to lenghten the ebrake cable to get them to work. Will mount the spare some day, not sure where just yet.
No pics yet, I have one-but my smugmug account is on the fritz.
May paint it some day, trying to keep wife happy and not dump $ into it. $500 seemed a bit high, but I can't find a decent pickup bed trailer for less than $350 around here. And then they would need a ton of work.

Nice! wheels and tires are worth a couple hundred. 500 dosn't sound bad at all.

Trailer now has spare tire mounted, safety chains installed, and most of the landing leg extension finished. Wiring and lights on trailer are done, wiring on Toyota is done. License plate and registration done. Still need to fab some tailgate cables, and go through the wheel bearings before use.

Tailgate latches are repaired, tailgate chains and brackets fabbed, 6 internal tie downs installed. Making progress.

Got landing leg welded up tonight, along with repacking the right side wheel bearings. Posted the bearing and seal #'s in a seperate post if anybody needs them. Barring no problems with the left side bearings/spindle; I just might have this ready to go in time. There will be lots to do over time, just need it ready for a run in a week.

Got the other wheel bearing packed and good to go. Spindle had a few marks on it but nothing I could feel. Getting the old artillery grease out of there was "fun". Landing leg is done. Mounted an old scissors jack behind the spare. Want to pull the lunette ring out of the tongue but it is in there pretty good. If it comes out easily-will clean it up and lube. May try to get something fabbed up so the brake cables will work. When I had the hubs off, all the internal brake parts were there and in working condition.
Will tow it 10 miles or so this weekend to pic up some firewood I am taking to next weekends trail event. Good chance to check things out.

Everything checked out okay today. Good to go. Loaded right now with about 1/3 cord firewood and most of my gear for next weekend.

A pic of how it looked this am behind the Toyota.
