My T90 (yeah, it was actually factory behind my V6 - very early '66) is getting pretty tired. I'm seriously considering an SM420 swap, keeping my Warn OD/T18 single lever/TerraLow setup.

I've intentionally kept her pretty low (2" Rancho spring lift in front, 3" in rear), 31's, because of severe off camber stuff here in Colo./Utah.

So, I'm concerned about much loss in ground clearance/breakover angle. You folks that have done the swap - whadda ya think??

Also, there's always the worry about that short rear drive shaft, and thus angle, but hopefully with my fairly low stance that's not an issue?

Thanks a bunch ...
Van

You can notch the crossmember to get the belly up higher. Or you could just build a new crossmember. I don't think you should have a problem ;)

I went with a cv drive shaft in the rear. I think it measured out a little over 18 inchs. As far as clearance i cant tell much differance.. Good luck
